May 19th – 2010 – the end of the season

February 14th, 2010 by thefootyshop.co.uk

May 19th – 2010 – the end of the season, well thats  what the FA say anyway, for most of you playing at grass roots level the season will be over by this date, So the run in over the next 10 weeks or so will prove crunch time for a number of  grass roots football clubs.

Cup games,  top of the table battles, bottom of the table scrambles,  winter period injuries, yes its all happening.  Most clubs will not realy be looking past the end of the this season and in to the next, however careful planning is really important.

As one of our largest club customers pointed out to me recently, planning for next season when half way through the current is a little unorthadox howver can prove to be beneficial when the new season starts,  the people at the helm of grass roots clubs are working hard behind the scenes to enable the playing side to run smoothly.

Ideally club commitees could be consulting with retailers before May 19th as to what they may need for next season.

April 10th, 2009 by thefootyshop.co.uk

Football Training Equipment  is used  in both matches and training sessions. When you begin to examine what type of equipment is needed, the list can be quite comprehensive. Apart from the obvious football kits and boots there are all the balls, shin pads and training accessories that will be needed to improve the player`s abilities. On the training field bibs will come in handy and they come in a choice of colours. The players can be divided into separate teams and they can play against each other in practice matches. To aid their dribbling techniques Football Training Equipment like cones can used or a players speed and agility can be put to the test with a speed agility ladder. Passing arcs are great items of Football Equipment as they can help a player to hone their passing abilities. The arcs are just big enough for the ball to pass underneath so precision passing is needed when they are used. A host of equipment can be found through football suppliers and many of the items will help to nurture a player`s natural talents. It`s not just football kits and footballs that players need as they will have to use other items of FootballTraining Equipment as well if they want to see their game improve
